An Award

Good news! "Beach People1" received a Certificate of Merit at  the new members show at the Salmagundi Club, Greenwich Village, NYC.

I've been busy

I can't believe almost a year has flown by since my trip to Paris. A few things have happened! I was accepted as a member of the Salmagundi Art Club. Founded in 1871, the Salmagundi Clube is one of the oldest art organizations in the United States. Housed in an historic brownstone mansion in Greenwich Village, NYC. I'm very excited to be participating in upcoming workshops and the members gallery show.
The other big thing that happened this year has a name - Suzanna. She was born on February 15th. Her twin sisters are delighted, and I'm thrilled to be back to painting! She is a great baby but it was tough letting go of my paints for 9 1/2 months!

This very special painting was made at Giverny, Monet's home in France. It was the most beautifully spectacular place I've ever been. Can't wait to go back someday. You can view this painting in a current exhibit - June thru mid July at The Atria in Roslyn.
